So what's your all time fave anime or manga? and what got you started into the anime/manga scene?

I learned in school to use my head, and not to accept all things questionless, so do you think that Augustus first emperor (Kaiser in German) of rome really died? And why do you think so?

hmm that's a tough Q......iv'e only gotten into manga 2 yrs ago so i only have 3 fav.....
1) MxO/TWGOK
2)Mahou Sensei Negima!
3) Eyeshield 21/Bleach

I really love fantasy books( I read alot) so i guess thats why I like my 1) and 2) choices
I like E21 /bleach just coz their addictive(although bleach is staring to drag...)
I like TWGOK coz im a gaming freak....

What got me interested in anime/manga?........Well watching anime led to reading manga .
I used to watch animax on cable when it was available in my country and i was hooked on 3 anime...Exd,The Get Backers and ....UFO baby......(the last one is embarassing but it did get me hooked on anime...)

i browsed the web for more info about them and stumbled onto OM and as they say the rest is history.......

K..that caught me by suprise ...but um ur referring to Augustus Caesar right????


I'm quite sure he lived to a ripe old age before he kicked the bucket...why do I think so...well he died of old age right?????if he was a tyrant im quite sure he would have been assassinated far earlier by numerous jealous peers.....

However concerning his successors...well i was taught in skool that they all died due to natural reasons but i browsed the web and found out that historians widely believed that
Tiberius, who followed Augustus, also lived to an old age but
was probably murdered on his deathbed when he showed signs of
recovering. (The Roman mob apparently cheered when his death was announced(the same for Caesar's death right?).)
Tiberius was followed by Caligula(i think), possibly the most corrupt
member of the Julio-Claudian dynasty. He was assassinated(go figure...) and was
succeeded by his uncle, Claudius, one of Rome's "good emperors."(yeah right)
Claudius, however, was murdered by his second wife in order to ensure
Nero's succession. (In gratitude, Nero murdered his mother.....) Nero died
by suicide in the face of his imminent overthrow. With Nero's death,
the Julio-Claudian Dynasty came to an end......





My history sux....so if i made any mistakes feel free to correct me......also am not sure if Julio-Claudian is the correct term for their era....
However my experience tells me u should just mug up whatever they tell u in skool and reproduce it ur tests/xams coz examiners dont like to here ur point of view...at least in my country.....

Also my history teacher said that u cant trust history books coz their written from the perspective of the winner/loser hence its a biased opinion(most of the time)

Your talking about the recent bombings in Mumbai right?.....Well i was pretty shaken up coz me and my family WERE present in one of the hotels when it started( its a long story........)But luckily we high tailed it out of there once the first explosion occured

Well we arrived In Mumbai on the 24th to attend my cousin's marriage...we were staying at The Oberoi hotel and we were going to leave on the 28th at night......anyway on the 27th at around 6 am we some gunshots.....luckily our room was on the 7th floor away from all the intensity.....my dad immediately locked our room and we barricaded ourselves.....we ate out of the minibar that entire day and were in contact with the rest of our family throughout the ordeal.....the ac's were cut off but power was still there put we switched of all the lights at night to prevent any suspicion frm being drawn to our room
...I slept for i think abt 2 hr that night........luckily at around 9 am the NSG rescue team found us and assured us the fight was over...we removed our barricade and followed him quietly....we rushed for the airport and spent the remaindr of the day there......then we got back on our flight and came back to the south.....


and thats it.....not much action but we were shit scared......i consider myself lucky bcoz apparently..the terrorists had come to the 7 th floor to check for any stray hostages and hadnt found us....

Amazingly I still had to go to School the next day(yes my skool works on saturdays too)....
