If you had the choice between eating a living cougar, and living off of poisonous vegetation (which would, of course, completely paralyze you after 4 days of eating it), which would you choose?

Cougar ofc, XD on desperate times only meat will save me, especially if the vegetables are poisonous, and if the cougar is alive, too bad for him when I´m hungry he better not even get up xD
