We at Red Hawk are not typically interested in running contests, but this is an extraordinary occasion and it calls for extraordinary measures. As part of a planned makeover that will be taking place over the next month, we have decided to redesign our logo for the first time since the group was created three years ago. We intend for the new logo to be permanent, and since we're going to be stuck with it we obviously want it to look great.
This is where you come in! Rather than scrape up something ourselves with our limited design skills, we are calling upon our fans to leave their mark upon the group. Our ideal logo would be:
• Simple yet instantly recognizable
• Depicting or representing a hawk in some form
• Red
That's it! Otherwise we leave everything up to you. A preview of all submissions should be posted in this thread. Final versions should be in vectored form. You can send the SVG to me by private message if you do not want to post it publicly. Contest entries will be closed on October 12th. The contest will be judged by our Administrators.
The winner will receive the following recognition:
• Your name and website included in an announcement page in all of our series for one week
• An invitation to meet and chat with our staff on IRC
• 3 weeks of early access to the series of your choice before we finalize and release it
Two runners-up and their logos will also be acknowledged on the announcement page.
