i think it's satisfying when you hear from people "nicely done", etc.

sadly the only ones who say that, are the members of the scanlation community^^
you'll never hear anything from your average leecher, they only complain/praise about the cleaning and translation -.-

the color page k3 posted took me maybe 10-15h ?? i'm not sure, but it was relative easy to redraw because of how it was drawn.
your normal b/w page ranges from 10 to 45min. there are exceptions, which take longer (1-2h), but normally noting takes longer than that.

and bonus: If I came to visit Austria, what would you recommend I go see or do there?

hmm, depends. the only 2 mayor trips you can do is a culture trip, visiting cities like Graz , Salzburg or Vienna xD
the other one would be a skiing trip (or any other winter sport) somewhere in the mountains, there are a lot of good resortes (Ischgl/Tirol, Flachau/Salzburg, etc)

ohh, you can also go on a climbing trip xD we have nice mountains !!!

I, for one, grow increasingly... err, "finicky" for long-durations, depending on the task.

What got you into being a "redrawer"? Why not something like "Cleaner" or Typesetter; something along those lines that also use PS?

have the same personal trait xD i take a long time for the finishing touches (especally when i write a program xD) and i always find something that could be done better, yada yada -.- i take too long to turn something in ~~

what got me into scanlation was, that i didn't like the quality of some mangas i read, got me pissed of xD
i thought i could do it better.... and finally applied as editor. \o/
did that for ~5 years with 1-2 breaks in between for a few month. after my last break i applied at rhs as redrawer (reason: cleaning and TS is boring xD)

btw, i started using PS with version 5.5, so i had time to learn xD
god was that a long time ago ....

that's difficult to answer.
hmmm...


i would say, needless is one of that mangas (or similar mangas), where i had a hard time, because it was boring to redraw. it was so dull to redraw, you work an hour on it, always doing the same and going nowhere. resulted in no motivation to finish it!!

on the other hand, Shokugeki-no Soma has one of the harder redraws i saw so far, but it's so much fun to redraw^^
